Pakelka was born at Wein, Augtria, Hungaria, Feb. 2nd, 1867, where she grew to womanhood and was highly educated and held high positions in her native land and learned to speak well seven different languages. Having aspirations to see more of this world she came to America when 22 years of age, settling here at Payette during the pioneer days 41 years ago, and the following year was united in marriage to W. F. Stirm, January 1, 1890, and for many years made the pioneer town of Payette their home, later moving to their ranch home near the mouth of Indian Creek, 20 miles northeast of Payette, where she resided and faithfully took her full share in performing the duties of the house as a kind wife and loving mother. She took an active part in all community affairs in helping to make the community of Little Willow district a better place in which to live. She became converted to the cause of Christ many years ago and a member of the Catholic church to which faith she followed closely to the end, which came at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Kathern Johnson at Longview, Wash., Tuesday, June 3rd. Besides her husband she is survived by two sons and two daughters, William E. Stirm of Fruitland, Idaho; Fred who resides at home on the ranch; Mrs. J. C. Moss of New Plymouth, Idaho and Kathern Johnson of Longview, Wash. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Catholic church at Payette, June 6 at 10 a. m., conducted by Rev. Father Galleaheu, and was attended by a large circle of sorrowing friends. Interment was in Riverside cemetery.
