Harvey Booth of the First Baptist Church, Payette, officiating. Interment was in the Rosedale Memorial Gardens, Payette. Mr. Stoner died August 19, 1982 in a Payette nursing home. He was born January 29, 1883 in Granger, Iowa to Daniel and Elizabeth Stoner. He was reared and educated in Iowa. He married Minnie Hammic on April 28, 1923 in Weiser, Idaho. That year, they moved to Payette, where he founded the Payette County Band, as well as teaching music in Payette, Fruitland and New Plymouth public schools. Mrs. Stoner died in July of 1978. He was a member of Washoe Masonic Lodge No. 28, Payette; the Scottish Rite, Boise; and the El Korah Shrine Temple of Boise. He was a past matron of the Lorraine Chapter, No. 20 of Payette. He is survived by one daughter, Virginia Arthur, of New York City; a sister, Myrtle Cummins, of Kelso, Washington and two grandchildren.
