Mr. Strawn was born Nov. 21, 1909, in Fruitland and was graduated from Fruitland school. He was manager of the Fruitland Canning Association Incorporated. He was a member of the Methodist church here, the New Plymouth 100F lodge, the Fruitland Chamber of Commerce and was senior warden of Washoe lodge No. 28, AF&AM, of Payette and president of the board of directors of North Pacific Canners and Packers of Portland. Surviving in addition to Mrs. Strawn are a son, Roger Strawn of Portland; a daughter, Carol Strawn at home; his mother, Mrs. H. B. Strawn of Fruitland; four brothers, Clarence R. and Keith Strawn both of Fruitland, Lester of Adrian, Ore., and Ross Strawn of Weiser; three sisters, Mrs. Lucille Shepaard of Payette, Mrs Hazel Davis of Fruitland and Mrs. Mary Amick of San Diego, Calif. and a grandson. Services will be conducted at the Methodist church Wednesday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Dr. Enoch Nye will officiate and the Payette Masonic lodge will conduct services at Park View at New Plymouth where interment will be directed by Shaffer chapel of Payette.
