Verna Strawn

PAYETTE-Services for Verna Strawn, 67, Payette, a former Boise resident, who 
died Tuesday at an Ontario hospital after a long illness, will be conducted at 
1:30 p.m. Friday in the Alden Waggoner Chapel by Rev. Donald Baird, Boise 
Avenue Presbyterian Church.  Interment will be at Dry Creek.

She was born Feb. 11, 1905 at Jacksonville, Ore.  She was married to Ben M. 
Strawn in Payette in 1940.  She was raised in Boise and Gooding and lived in 
Boise until 1970 when she moved to Payette. Her husband died in 1957.

Surviving are two sons, Ben F. Strawn, Boise and Jim H. Strawn, Grand Junction 
Colo.; five stepdaughters, Dell Bond, Simi, Calif., Dora Boyle, Pleasanton, 
Calif., Bertie Woolsey, Prosser, Wash., Shirley Sugden and Ellen Bailey, both 
of Boise; and four grandchildren.
