Dorothy Elaine Knight was born in New Plymouth, January 14, 1925, and grew to womanhood in that place. She was educated in the New Plymouth schools, graduating in May, 1943. She was married to Ben. F. Strohbehn on November 14, 1943, who had enlisted in the army air corps. Like many other war brides, she traveled from one camp to another so she could spend as much time as possible with her husband. They returned to New Plymouth at Christmas time, 1945. She remained with the Strohbehn family while her husband received his discharge. They took over part of the Strohbehn farm and planned on raising their family in the lovely old home her husband had grown up in, but Divine Providence deemed it otherwise and she was called away at the tender age of 21 years, 4 months and 17 days. She was member of the New Plymouth Congregational church. Her father preceded her in death three years ago. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, Ben F. Strohbehn, her mother, Mrs. Vivian Knight and a sister, Beverly, all of New Plymouth; her brother, Albert E. Knight, of Boise; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. I. Snyder of Los Angeles, Cal., and Bruce Knight of New Plymouth. The Rev. Paul Felthouse, Earl Kaurin and Kenneth Ubbelohde took part in the funeral services held at the Baptist church, New Plymouth, Tuesday afternoon and music was furnished by a men's quartette, composed of Rev. Paul Flethouse, Paul Harvey, Maynard Mathews and Wayne Grabner.
