The deceased was one of the best known characters in this part of Idaho and had many friends. Coming to the country in the early days, he had a massed a large property and was one of the most prosperous stockmen in the valley. His hospitality was proverbial and the door of his home was always open to friend and stranger alike. Everybody knew "Governor" Stuart, and he will be long remembered as one of the pioneers of the Payette Valley. The interment occurred at the Falk's Store Cemetery, on the 19th, inst., and was largely attended.
