Sullins FRUITLAND - Services for George C. Sullins, 86, Fruitland, who died Tuesday at an Ontario hospital, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the New Plymouth Shaffer Jensen Memory Chapel by the Rev. Keith R. Maxwell of the United Methodist Church of Fruitland. Interment with rites by IOOF Lodge No. 22, Payette will be at Park View Cemetery. Mr. Sullins was born Dec. 25, 1885 at Jonesboro, Ark., where he grew up and attended schools. He married Jessie Sherrick at Greenville, Miss., on Oct. 23, 1910. They lived at Greenville until 1920 when they moved to Fruitland where he had since resided. He worked at a sawyer and had operated a farm near Fruitland for many years. Mr. Sullins was a member of the United Methodist Church of Fruitland and the Odd Fellows Lodge No. 22 of Payette. Survivors beside his widow of Fruitland include four sons, Elmer F. Sullins, Fruitland, George C. Sullins Jr., Quincy, Ill., Fred L. Sullins, Houston, Tex., and Earl S. Sullins, San Francisco; two daughters, Mrs. Fred (Beth) Rosenberger, New Plymouth, and Mrs. Ad. D. (Lucille) Alsobrook, Houston; 13 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters. The family suggests memorials to the United Methodist Church of Fruitland or flowers may be sent.
