Belle Jacobsen Sur passed away on Wednesday afternoon of this week at the Payette General hospital following a short illness due to a heart attack. Mrs. Sur was well known throughout this section of Idaho and was one of the larger property owners within the city of Payette. She was the daughter of pioneer parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. A. Jacobsen, both deceased. Rosary will be held at the Landon Funeral home at eight o’clock Friday evening and services are scheduled for Saturday morning at 10 o’clock at the Holy Family Catholic church with Rev. Father Dooley in charge. Belle Jacobsen was the first white girl born in Payette county on August 17, 1885. She was married on August 27, 1906 to John Sur, of Effington, Illinois, who passed away in this city in May, 1936. Deceased is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Russell Moulton, of Payette and Mrs. Alvord Sheen, of Boise; five grandchildren, Anne and Jacqueline Moulton and Diane, Arma and Lana Huschke; a sister, Mrs. Arma Steele, of Payette and a brother, Dr. A. N. Jacobsen, of American Falls. Dr. and Mrs. Jacobsen and Mrs. Sheen were arrivals in Payette Wednesday evening.
