MRS. BELLE L. SWANSON
 
Mrs. Belle L. Swanson was born in Illinois, December 27, 1875, and passed away 
in the Ontario hospital Thursday, May 19th.  Funeral services were held 
Saturday at 2:30 from Landon's Funeral home, with Rev. C. O. Heath of the 
Methodist church in charge of the services.  Burial was in the Riverside 
Cemetery at Payette.
 
Mrs. Swanson was married at Marathon, Iowa, September 9, 1897, to J. M. 
Swanson and to this union one son was born, Boyd Swanson.  The family moved to 
Payette in 1909 and have since taken an active part in the civic and social 
progress of the city.  Mrs. Swanson was operated on May 2nd for a tumor and 
although she rallied well from the operation a relapse set in ending in death 
last Thursday morning at 11:30.
 
Beside her husband and son, she is survived by sisters in Iowa and Oklahoma, 
and a brother and sister in North Dakota.
