Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette. Fraternal Order of the Eagles, No. 3803 will officiate. He was born June 2, 1912, near Gainsville, Texas, a son of Joseph and Emma Turner. He grew up on a ranch and attended schools near Girard, Texas. He moved to Engle, N. M., where he worked at the Diamond A Ranch and several other ranches in Northern New Mexico and Arizona. He moved to Payette in the late 1950s and went to work for the V Club as a bartender, working there for 30 years. He retired in 1988. Survivors include four brothers, Glenn Turner of Silver City, N. M., Joe Turner of Engle, Jack Turner of Oakdale, Calif., and Stanley Turner of Willets, Calif.; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
