The Wilson boy, who was first to find the body, notified Constable J. B. Cosman, who in turn notified Drs. Woodward and Woodward, accompanied by Judge R. L. Shaw, the party proceeded to the Payette river, back of the ball park, where about 100 curious people were waiting. A boat which had already arrived, conveyed Glenn Landon, Dr. J. C. Woodward, and the Wilson boy to the island, where the body of a baby girl, dressed, but in a bad state of decomposition, was found. It was estimated that the child was about five months old, and had been exposed to the sun for probably four weeks. The remains were taken to Lauer's undertaking parlors, and Coroner Robinson of Nampa was notified. Mr. Robinson came down Saturday and made an investigation; and soon after ordered the burial of the body. Up to the time we go to press, no clue to the identity of the child has been found.
