He would have been 92 years old late this month. Mr. Upchurch had made his home in Boise 23 years. He came to the capital from Council where for many years he was engaged in the sheep business. He first came to Idaho in1870 and for a time he was a resident of the Payette river district. Mr. Upchurch was born in Missouri March 29, 1844. In 1877 he served with volunteer troops during the Indian uprisings. He was a member of the Congregational church of Council. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Margaret Upchurch; two daughters, Mrs. Luther Tennyson of Boise and Mrs. Edwin Clapp of Los Angeles; a granddaughter in Boise, Mrs. Ralph Davis, and two grandchildren in Los Angeles. Three great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 o’clock Saturday afternoon at the McBratney chapel with the Rev. Charles E. Ward of the First Congregational church of Boise officiating. Burial will be in Morris Hill cemetery.
