He was born in Harrisburg, Pa., June 28, 1868, and was married to Miss Ida Ellen Babcock June 16, 1888, in Alamosa, Colorado. He came to Idaho in 1900. Six children were born to this union. Those surviving their father are Edflard Van Etten of Parma, John Van Etten of Boise, Mrs. Claude Burgess of Shoshone, and Mrs. Walter Gorham of Cornucopia, Oregon. Funeral services were held Thursday at the Landon Funeral home. The Rev. C. M. Strong officiated and interment was at the Riverside cemetery.
