A. Van Winkle Expires at Home PAYETTE-Curtis Allen Van Winkle, 68, of New Plymouth, Rt. 1, died Thursday morning in his home after a long illness. He had been a resident of Idaho for the last six months. Services were held Monday morning at 10:00 in the Assembly of God church in Vale under the direction of Shaffer Memory chapel. The Rev. Harry Ayers officiated and interment was in Valley View cemetery. Van Winkle was born March 20, 1886, in Henry county, Mo. He moved to Vale in 1952 from Mitchell, Oregon, and came to New Plymouth in December, 1953. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Assembly of God church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rose Ellen Van Winkle, New Plymouth; three sons, Harmon, Vale, Wilbur, Dayville, Oregon, and Donald with the Air Force at Mountain Home; four daughters, Mrs. Ollie Dyck, Ferndale, Wash., Mrs. Wilma Osborn, and Mrs. Lena Grizel, both of Portland, and Mrs. Marguirite Jordan, Elgin, Oregon, and four brothers, one sister, 20 grandchildren and four great- grandchildren.
