N. Black on the Oregon Slope. Landon funeral home had charge of arrangements and burial was in Riverside. Rev. Curtis Strong officiated at the services. Mrs. Vest came here five weeks ago from Sheridan, Wyo. Minerva Burke was born May 2, 1856, at Duck Town, Tenn., and was married to George W. Vest at Murphy, N. C. Her husband and six children preceded her in death. Beside the daughter, Mrs. Black, she is survived by two sons, J. W. of Decker, Mont., and F. J. of Sheridan, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
