Wallace PAYETTE - Services for Rena J. Wallace, 94, Payette, who died Saturday, Sept. 6, 1986, at a Weiser nursing home, were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Shaffer- Jensen chapel, Payette. Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery, Payette, with ritualistic rites by the Harmony Rebekah Lodge No. 22 of Payette. She was born Jan. 8, 1892, in Shenandoah, Iowa, the daughter of William and Lucy James. She was reared and educated in Iowa. She married Harvey Wallace on March 24, 1909, at Onawa, Iowa. They moved to Council, Idaho, in 1915, and to Payette in 1919. In 1930 they moved to Fruitland where Mr. Wallace operated the Texaco filling station until 1945 when they moved back to Payette. He died in 1971. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Payette; a 50-year member of the Royal Neighbors. She is survived by a son, George Harvey Wallace, Corvallis, Ore.; two daughters, Gladys (Mrs. Morrill) Rayburn, Payette, and Clara, (Mrs. Don) Parker, Seattle; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and five great- great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters, four brothers, and five sisters.
