Watts at the Landon Funeral home with Rev. Paul Felthouse in charge and interment will be made in Riverside cemetery. Morris Walker Watts was born December 11th at Crawfordsville, Louisa county, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Annie M. Miller May 18, 1879 in Mahaska county, Iowa. To this union was born seven children, two sons and five daughters, all of whom were present to help them celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on May 18, 1939. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary May 18, 1944. Walter Watts, oldest son, preceded him in death June 6, 1943. Children surviving are Dr. Fred Watts, Creston, Iowa; Mrs. Cora Christian, Payette, Idaho; Mrs. Myra Cloward, Crouch, Idaho; Mrs. Bessie Maio, Pocatello, Idaho, who died Jan. 9, 1943; Mrs. Kathleen Connell, Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Elizabeth Harland, Payette, Idaho. They moved from Iowa to Kansas in the spring of 1882. Mr. and Mrs. Watts moved to Payette in the fall of 1900 where they made their permanent home. He became a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows on Dec. 9, 1905 at the age of 48 and presided as Noble Grand during the year of 1913 and has had continuous membership for 39 years. He passed away at his home at 3:30 a. m., August 21st at the age of 87 years, 8 months and 10 days.
