Few knew that he had been ill until hearing of his death. He had been taken to the hospital for an operation for stricture of the bowels, but succumbed to heart failure before reaching the operating table. He leaves a wife, four brothers and three sisters. Brief funeral services were conducted by Rev. Brown, of the Ontario Presbyterian church, and the body shipped to DeWitt, Iowa, where deceased formerly resided before coming to Idaho and where members of his immediate family still make their home.
