Wilson dies at Her Home in Payette After an illness of nearly two years, during which time she suffered a great deal, Mrs. Wilson died at her home in Payette Sunday July 2. Mrs. Wilson, whose maiden name was Barbara Overton, was born in White Cloud, Ind. Sept. 16, 1845 and moved with her parents to Omaha, Neb. In 1867 she was united in marriage with Thomas J. Wilson. to them were born one some and three daughters. The son died in California in 1902. Two daughters reside in Nebraska and the other, Mrs. Joseph White, lives near Payette. In 1866 she became a follower of the Christ and was baptized by Rev. D. R. Dungan, one of the pioneers of the Christian church. She remained steadfast in her faith and trust till the end. She was a kind and loving mother and devoted to her children, and prior to her illness was an active worker in the church. She leaves a husband along with her children to mourn her loss. Rev. Benjamin Smith of Indianapolis preached a beautiful funeral sermon, full of hope and consolation for the bereaved, for the good woman died with the certainty of a full reward for her life of constancy and devotion to Christianity.
