Windle Memorial services for Burrel Thomas Windle, 83, of Payette, who died Dec. 22, 1981 at home, were conducted Monday in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Payette by Elder William K. Mansker. Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery in Payette, with ritualistic rites by Odd-fellows Lodge No. 22 of Payette. He was born April 14, 1898 near New Plymouth to Thomas and Elizabeth Windle. He was reared and educated in the Little Willow area near Payette. He served in the U. S. Army during World War 1. He married Elizabeth Mickelson on June 27, 1920 in Payette. They homesteaded in the Little Willow area until they moved to Payette in 1937. He was a thrasher and they harvested crops in Arizona, California, Oregon and Idaho. He retired in 1968. He was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Payette, and Oddfellows Lodge No. 22 in Payette for more than 60 years. He leaves his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Ted (Ellen) Osburn and Dorothy Bowman, all of Payette; 15 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by a son, three sisters, a grandchild, and a great- grandchild.
