H. Yeager Dies from Shotgun Wound Edward Herman Yager, 53, well known farmer of this area was found dead from a shotgun wound in the head in a field at his farm about a mile East of the city last Saturday morning about 9 o'clock. Authorities believe that it was a case of suicide as Decker had been called by members of the family to search for Yager, when they discovered that he had left his home and had taken his 20 gauge shotgun along, but before he (Decker) could get away from the office another call came in that the body had been discovered in the field. Yager was born in this city Sept. 26, 1895. He is survived by two daughters Mrs. Doris Clausen, Ontario; and Mrs. Ruth Pay???er of Los Angeles, Calif. and one son Donald of Payette; one brother Frank of Fruitland; two sisters Miss Llcy Yager of Fruitland and Mrs. Ida Martin of Everett, Wash. and six grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon at the Shaffer Chapel with the Rev. Paul Felthouse, of the Baptist church in charge. Interment was in the Riverside cemetery. (*Note-This obit contained two different spellings of the surname Yeager/Yager. Due to a poor copy, one name was not legible and there were spelling errors that were left as they were printed.)
