Young Buried Monday Funeral services were held on Monday of this week for Joe T. Young, at Pocatello. Services were attended by Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Hughes and Mrs. William Blackaby. Mrs. Hughes is a sister of Mr. Young. Joe T. Young, 72, passed away at Oakland, California and the body was brought to Pocatello for interment beside his wife in the Mount Moriah cemetery. The remains were accompanied to the final resting place by an honor guard composed of members of Gate City Commandry, Knights Templar. Mr. young was well known in Payette having visited with Mr.. and Mrs. Hughes in this city on many occasions. Prior to retirement some fifteen years ago deceased was an official of the wholesale division of the Skaggs Safeway company. During his residence in Idaho Mr. Young was most prominent in civic affairs at Pocatello where he was the first president of Rotary club in that city. He was also past president of the Pocatello Chamber of commerce as well as Bannock county republican chairman. Mr. Young always took a great interest in republican politics and during the recent campaign was instrumental in raising funds for the campaign of President Eisenhower. Besides other relatives deceased is survived by a son , Ralph Young, a sister, Mrs. W. J. Hughes and niece, Mrs. William Blackaby.
