Funeral services with Landon’s in charge will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 at the Church of God of which the deceased was a long time member. The Rev. Harold Jacks will give the sermon. Dr. Zieger was born in Stark county, Ind., May 24, 1860. When he was nine, his parents moved to Harrison county, Mo., where they resided for some time. He and his family later reside in Neosho county, Kans., and Harlen county, Nebr. At the latter place he engaged in farming until 1913 when he moved to this section of Idaho. During his over thirty years here he practiced his profession as a veterinarian until he had to give it up a few years ago on account of failing health. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Zieger of LaGrande, Ore.; one son, Floyd Zieger, Summit City, Calif.; five daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Donahue, Spokane, Wash.; Mrs. Velma Snow, Los Angeles, Cal.; Mrs. Eulah Stevens, Fruitland; Mrs. Beulah Williams, LaGrande, and Mrs. Adelade Searles, Summerville, Cal.; one brother, George W. of Fruitland; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Bunny, Princeton, Idaho; and Mrs. Ella Zentling, Marshfield, Mo.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Two of his children preceded him in death.
