The dates in the glass, 1887- 1904, represent the beginning date of the Baptist church organization in Payette, 1887, and the date in which the new building was presented, 1904. The original church, which was also a school house, burnt down in 1903. On the reverse side of the glass are two glass circles with names & information. The first reads: 'Assisted In Building By The American Baptist Home Mission Society.' The second reads: 'Building Commmittee, W. R. Whipple- J. Ewing, M. M. Gladish-T. F. Bridges, S. F. Taylor-F. C. Draper, C. Hezeltine, Rev. T. S. Dulin.' The church sold the building in 1970, and it now serves as a private residence. The window has been donated back to the Baptist church congregation. They plan to have it releaded and installed in their current church building.
