B. Sargent home was the scene of a very pretty wedding Wednesday evening May 29, when Miss Rene Elnora Eldredge and Lyle M. Brown took their places under a beautiful arch of roses and carnations, as Harry Bowers played the wedding march and were united in marriage by Rev. H. G. Shank of the Brethren church. The bride wore white creped chine and carried roses. The couple was attended by the bride's sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Amos Gardner. Immediate relatives and close friends numbering 75 were present. These do not include all of the young couple's friends, as they are two of Fruitland's most popular young people and have the best wishes of all. Mrs. Brown is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Eldredge and the groom is the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Byron Brown. After congratulations refreshments of ice cream and cake were served the guests. They will reside on the J. Gardner farm near Mr. Brown's parents about four miles from Fruitland. Miss Vetta Eldredge, a cousin of the bride, of Boise, was an out-of-town guest. The carnations used in the decorations of the home were sent from California by Mr. Brown's grandparents. Note: According to Payette County Marriage Records, Lyle M. Brown married Rene E. Eldridge on 5-19-1918, Fruitland. ch File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/id/payette/vitals/marriages/eldredge244gmr.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/idfiles/ File size: 2.0 Kb
