C. Pathael on the evening of Sept. 7th, when their daughter Florence was married to Mr. Bert Melcher. The house and lawn were beautifully decorated and arranged to accommodate the guests, who were present to the number of about 135. "Sing Me to Sleep" was sweetly sung by Miss Mamie Bayer. Then as Mrs. H. C. Trevillion played the wedding march the bridal party took their places in an arch of white astors and under a bell of the same flowers. First came the officiating clergyman, Rev. A. F. White, then the groom with Mr. Charlie Pathael as best man, the bridemaid, Miss Maimie Bayer, and the bride leaning upon the father's arm. It was a deeply impressive service as the groom received his bride at the hand of the father and placed on her hand the wedding ring Mr. and Mrs. Melcher then received the hearty congratulations of many of their friends, several of whom had come a long distance for the occasion. The bridemaid and Miss Maude Stegall from Boise, B. F. Chapman from South Dakota, L. M. Lake and daughters Anna and Bessie from Caldwell, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Manis from Little Willow, Mrs. C. O. Haines from Portland, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Marquis from Cambridge, Ed Williams and sister Maud from Nampa and Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Travillion from North Powder, Oregon. Tables had been set upon the lawn where the guests were served with appetizing refreshments. The esteem of friends was expressed in the many and valuable gifts for home and personal use. Taking train the same evening, the bridal couple will visit the A. Y. P., Portland, and other coast towns. Their future home will be a 40 of the Melcher ranch, eight miles southeast of town. Highly esteemed by all who know them they have the best wished of many friends.
