Miss Sherman likewise set an unusual precedent by exchanging two names for one. On the marriage license her name read, Cosy Phillips. While registered at the College of Idaho under the name of Sherman, that is the name of her foster parents, who never legally adopted her. In obtaining the license she signed her legal name. Henceforth there will be no confusion as to the young lady's correct name, as she is now Mrs. F. F. Branthoover, wife of Free F. Branthoover, of Fruitland. The marriage ceremony was performed by one of her former instructors, Prof. H. H. Hayman, at Caldwell.
