POWELL- WISEMAN
 
Another couple of Payette's young people were made happy Christmas Eve when, 
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Powell, Third Avenue South and 9th Street, 
their daughter, Miss Rowenah was united in marriage to Mr. Lloyd Wiseman, both 
residents of the city for many years.
 
In the presence of the immediate families of the contracting parties, and a 
few friends, at 8 o'clock the bridal pair attended by Mr. Clarence Powell S. 
best man and Miss Gladys O'Bannon as bridesmaid, took their places beneath a 
beautiful Christmas decoration, when Rev. N. H. Farnham spoke the words which 
made the twain one.
 
The usual congratulations over and many beautiful presents given, the company 
sat down to a bountiful dinner.  The real Christmas spirit was manifested 
throughout the evening.  These splendid young people have the blessing of 
their many friends, wishing them a long, happy and prosperous life.
 
Note:  According to Payette County Marriage Records, Loyd Wiseman married 
Rowenah Powell on 12-24-1917, Payette. ch
