A very pretty wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Rand, three miles north of Payette, Wednesday, Dec.19, at high noon, when their daughter Miss Emma Rand and Mr. Robert W. Monroe were joined in the holy bonds of matrimony by Rev. G. L. Surber, of this city. There were a number of relatives and friends in attendance, Boise and Weiser both being represented. Soon after the ceremony the party sat down to a wedding feast that was simply superb in its every feature and was highly enjoyed. The bride found under her plate $100 in gold coin and the happy couple were the recipients of numerous other beautiful and costly presents. The bride and groom took their departure on the evening train for Boise, the home of the groom’s relatives. The paper joins their large circle of Payette Valley friends in extending congratulations.
