SURPRISES HER FRIENDS
 
Last Friday at Weiser occurred the marriage of Miss Fae Sutton, our Payette 
County Superintendent of Schools, to Mr. Clarence Hinkley of Payette-Oregon 
Slope.  The ceremony was performed by Rev. Self at his residence.  Both the 
bride and groom are well and favorably known in this community, having lived 
here for a number of years, and have the highest esteem of all who know 
them.   The Enterprise joins with the many friends in wishing this worthy 
couple happiness through life.
 
Amid the joys that attended an occasion like this, there is a mingling of 
sorrow and grief, caused by the sudden death of Mrs.. Hinckley, mother of the 
groom, and also from the fact the groom is called for service in the United 
States Army, and will leave for Camp Lewis next Monday.
 
Note:  According to the Western States Marriage Index, Clarence W. Hinkley 
married G. Fae Sutton on 3-29-1918, Weiser.  ch
