 Seventy guests gathered at the Park hotel in Twin Falls Tuesday evening, to 
honor Mr. and Mrs. O. J. Childs of Filer upon the occasion of their silver 
wedding anniversary.
 Mrs. Childs has lived in this community since 1906, and Mr. Childs came to 
Twin Falls later, moving to Filer in 1910. They were married in Filer Dec 20 
1913.
 Clyde Musgrave, Filer, presented the couple with a silver fruit bowl and a 
corsage for Mrs. Childs and a butonier for Mr. Childs in behalf of the group.
 The largest of a number of small tables was centered with a three-tier 
wedding cake with a miniature bride and groom, made by Mrs. Charles Reichert. 
Other decorations were a crystal bowl of Christmas ornaments, placed on a 
reflector banked with red and silver holly, and tapers in crystal holders.
 Other tables held tapers and tiny Christmas trees, and a large lighted tree 
stood in the room.
 A program of informal toasts was given during the dinner. Dancing closed the 
evening, with Miss Barbara Beem at the piano.
