Lierman, 74, Route 1, pioneer farmer, died at 4:25 p.m. Saturday in Magic Valley Memorial Hospital of injuries received in a tractor accident Thursday afternoon. Hospital spokesman said Lierman apparently got off his tractor to make some adjustments when the accident occured. The spokesman added Lierman was standing between the front and rear tires trying to get his tractor in gear, rather then climbing back on the tractor Lierman pushed the clutch with his hand and put the tractor in gear.The tractor moved forward, knocking him to the ground, He told hospital authorities the rear wheel ran over his shoulder, then before he could get clear of the machinery, the Cultipacker attachment on the rear of the tractor ran over his head. Lierman reportedly crawled to his car and was there for about an hour before he was found. He was consciouse at the time, and was later taken to the hospital. The spokesman said he was doing quite well Saturday morning, then went in to a coma about noon Saturday and later died. Mr. Lierman was born Dec 21, 1891, at Deshler, Neb., and came to the Clover Tract 50 years ago in the second group of settlers from Nebraska. He has been a resident of Twin Falls for many years and was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church and the Immanuel Lutheran Church. He is survived by two sisters, Emily Lierman, Twin Falls, and Mrs. Henry Wasemiller, Ephrata, Wash. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Immanuel Lutheran Church by Rev. Harold Iben, Friends may call at White Mortuary until noon Tuesday and at the church until 1:45 p.m. Tuesday. Final rites will be conducted at the Clover Cemetery. A memorial wreath has been established for the Altar Fund and Herbert Lierman and Walter Lierman cousins of Mr. Lierman, are chairmen for the wreath.
