Houston died at the Twin Falls hospital at 12 o'clock Sunday night from injuries received in an accident on the road between Buhl and Wendell and after much extreme suffering and exposure to wet cold weather following the catastrophy of which he was an unfortunate victim. He had charge of a team hauling a load of lumber for R. H. Trail of Wendell. While decending a steep hill Houston was precipitated from the vehicle and it ran over him inflicting internal injuries, as well as breaking his left arm and cutting his head and ankle. He was accompanied on the wagon by two fellow workers, who likewise were thrown from their seats, but fortunately not injured. They brought Houston to Buhl and then to this city. Here everything was done that physicians possibly could do, to aid him, but surgical efforts were unavailing and he succumbed to internal hemorrhages. The funeral was held Tuesday from H. E. Hunt & Company's parlors at 2;30 o'clock, Rev. H. W. Parker of the Methodist church officiating. Interment was at the Twin Falls cemetery. Outside of the fact that Houston came from Chicago about eighteen months ago and located on the North Side Tract very little could be learned of his previouse history. He was known locally, however, as a hard working energetic man. He was about 40 years of age.
