Twin Falls Daily News August 2, 1928
 Word has been received here that Max Patten, 16 years old, son of Mr. and 
Mrs. George Patten, former residents of this district for a number of years, 
was accidentally killed while employed in a lumber camp in Oregon. The message 
stated that the young man had been shot, but no details of the accident were 
given. A brother, Quinn Patten, and the boy's father, both of whom reside 
here, left at once for Oregon.
