Idaho Evening Times  January 8, 1934
Mrs Mary Joe Watkin (Watson) Atkin, 56, passed away at the home of her daughter,
Mrs. Bud Buck, south of Twin Falls, at 6 p.m. yesterday.  She had made her home
with her daughter for two years.  Mrs Atkin came to Rock Creek from Tulsa,
Oklahoma in 1913 as one of the earliest pioneers of that district.  She was born
in Ducktown, Tennessee.  Her husband, T.M. Atkin died some time ago.  She was a
member of the Christian Church.  She is survived by the following sons and
daughters: Mrs. Willa Hansen, Pendleton, Ore; Mrs. Bud Buck, Twin Falls; Mrs.
Elira (Ellaree) Cawley, Los Angeles; Earl Watson, La Grande, Oregon; and Mrs.
Matt Clasen, Twin Falls.  The body rests at the Twin Falls mortuary.  Funeral
arrangements are awaiting word from all the relatives.
