E. Chandler at age of 47 FILER-Dec 7-John Emery Chandler, 47, Filer retail merchant, died Friday Morning at Magic Valley Memorial hospital after a long illness. He was born March 4, 1915, at Nemaha, Nebr., coming to Idaho from Colorado in 1941. He was with the Army from 1940 to 1941 and then again from 1942 to 1945. He married Vera Converse Nov. 25, 1946, at Filer. He was a retail merchant before he was hospitalized. He was a member of the Filer American Legion post No. 47. Surviving are his widow, a son, Lynn Emery Chandler, and his father, Charles Chandler, all Filer; five brothers, Ray Chandler, Nemaha, Nebr.; William E. Chandler, Hazlet, N. J.; Neal Chandler, Las Vegas, Nev.; Tom Chandler, Englewood, Calif.; and Gilbert Chandler, Filer, and six sisters, Mrs. opal Haith, Auburn, Nebr.; Mrs. Claudia Stiers, Nebraska City, Nebr.; and Mrs. Norma Sarson, Mrs. Henrietta Seeley, Mrs. Inez Schlange and Mrs. Ardis Parks, all Filer. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Reynolds funeral Chapel with the Rev. Eldon Shields, Filer Nazarene church officiating. Concluding rites will be held at Filer 100F cemetery.
