      FILER WOMAN DIES ON JAUNT TO IOWA
  FILER, July 19-Mrs. Katherine B. Converse, 73, a resident of Filer for the 
past 17 years died Frriday afternoon while visiting in Boone Ia.
  Mrs. Converse was born Oct 31, 1884, in Aurelia, Ia., and was married to 
Norton N. Converse Oct. 19, 1903. He died Jan. 21 this year.
  Survivors include three sons, Gilbert Converse, South Prarie, Wash; Willis 
Converse, Twin Falls, and Melvin Converse, Boone; four daughter, Mrs. Burdell 
Moorhead, South Prarie, and Mrs. Dorothy Harger, Mrs. Jeanette Cullison and Mrs 
Vera Chandler; all Filer; three brothers, Webb Waddell, Roy Waddell and Guy 
Waddell, 22 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
  Funeral services and concluding rites will be held Tuesday in Aurelia.
