King,who moved to southern Idaho late last fall and who took up a claim out in tne grassy hill country,twenty miles west of the Salmon river,forty odd miles beyond Rogerson,became ill of La Grippe in November,and though seriously ill from the first,he seemingly and gradually became well,but in early March he showed signs of complicated conditions that caused he and his wife to move into Rogerson so that he might have the immediate services of his physician,Dr.R.D.Joldersma.Despite the care he secured thereby, he was seen to be hopelessly affected with dropsey,and he lingered and suffered until Friday,May 5,when he passed away.The funeral service was held Saturday,May 6,at the residence in Rogerson,being conducted by Rev.John D. Keith of the Presbyterian church at 10:00a.m.,and the interment being made in the Rogerson cemetery. He came to this part of the country from the northwest portion of Washington.He leaves a wife and some children who reside in a distant part of the country,who were not found by wire in time for the commitment of the body.
