His death followed an illness of ten days and was due to typhoid fever. Illness first came upon him about two weeks prior to his death, but was first thought not to be serious. Mr. Krengel was born in Germany. He was one of the pioneer residents and Mechanics of this city, having conducted a blacksmithing and repair shop here since 1907. He came to America when 18 years of age and resided first in Wisconsin. He removed to Oregon in 1878 and settled in the Willamette Valley, from there he moved to British Columbia where he was master mechanic in the Rosland mines. He came to Twin Falls with his family five years ago from Nez Perce, Idaho. Mr. Krengel had been a active during his entire life, having experienced practically no illness in all those years until attacked by that which called him away. He had a large circle of friends in this city, whose sympathy is with the mourning family. Mr. Krengel was prominent in the Woodmen's of the World Lodge; of which he had been a member for a number of years. Besides his wife there are three sons and two daughters to mourn Mr. Krengels death. They are Charles H. Krengel of this city, C.C. Krengel of St. Mary's, Idaho, and Florence, Azalia and Walter Krengel of this city. A sister in Chicago is the only relative of Mr. Krengels living in America. Mr. C.E. Krengel arrived from St. Mary's yesterday afternoon. The Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 3 0'clock. The services will be under the direction of the Woodmen's of the World, with Rev. J.M. Anderson officiating. Interment will be in the Twin Falls cemetery.
