Hansen,Aug 6-(Special to The News)-Edward miller,18 years of age,son of Henry Miller of Hansen,was drowned in the high line canal,six miles south of Hansen Friday afternoon.The youth with two other boys,Bud Larsen and Edwin Thompson went swimming about noon,and the Miller boy ,who could not swim got beyond his depth and went under. Efforts were made to save him by the other two boys,but without avail. Help was immediately summoned from the H.P. Larsen ranch,where the boy was employed,and a search for the body started which proved of little avail until shortly after 10 o'clock Friday evening when the body was found some distance down the stream. Part of the water from the high line canal was turned off to aid in recovering the body. The boy is survived by a father and mother and one brother. The body is at the DeWitt funeral parlors in Twin Falls. No funeral arrangements have yet been made.
