J. Patterson
TWIN FALLS- Joseph A. Patterson, 68, died Tuesday afternoon at Magic Valley 
Memorial Hospital of a long illiness.
  He was born July 27, 1902 at Lamar, Mo. He married Emrett Koch on Aug 23, 
1923 at Carthage, Mo. They came to Twin Falls in 1929 from Missouri. He worked 
for the Twin Falls County highway district the past 32 years.
  Surviving besides his widow are five sons, Gene Patterson, Junior Patterson, 
Don Patterson and Paul Patterson, all Twin Falls, and Phil Patterson, San Jose, 
Calif.; four daughters, Mrs. John (Darlene) Lively and Mrs. Dewey (Betty) Gay, 
both Twin Falls; Mrs. Ray (Hazel) Friend, Santa Clara, Calif. and Mrs. Ernest 
(Marjorie) Bowman, Buhl; his father, F.A. Patterson, Lamar, Mo.; a brother, 
Marion (Bud) Patterson, Hialeah, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Thomas (Peggy) 
Leeper, Gillette, Wyo.; Mrs. Vail (Dorothy) Cook, Lamar, Mo.; and Mrs. May 
Couch, Topeka, Kan.; 51 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
  Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in White Mortuary Chapel 
by Rev. Robert Schreckenberg. Final rites will be held in Sunset Memorial Park. 
Friends may call at the mortuary Wednesday evening and until 1 p.m. Friday.
