Services for Paul R. Montgomery, 58, Yellow Pine, who died of natural causes 
Wednesday in a Boise hospital will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in the 
Community Christian Church in Cascade, by Rev. Rufus Cole of Northwest 
Mountain Missions, McCall, and Yellow Pine Chapel. Interment with military 
honors will follow in Yellow Pine Cemetery, under the direction of Heikkila 
Chapel, McCall.

He was born June 14, 1922, in Boise, where he was reared and educated. He 
served in the U.S. Army for 23 years in the South Pacific, Germany, Japan and 
Korea. He retired as a major in October 1960. He married Geraldine (Jerri) on 
May 22, 1971, in Yellow Pine. He was a charter member and past commander of 
the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Cascade, charter member of McCall Elks Lodge No. 
2569 and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Assoc.

Survivors include his wife, two sons, a daughter, his mother, a brother and 
four sisters, and three grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Yellow Pine Chapel, in care of Rufus Cole, McCall.
