Nock, of 2518 Redway Road, a former Idaho state senator from Valley County, died Wednesday at his home. He was 72. Born June 25, 1902, in Tonkawa, Okla. Nock moved to Idaho in 1920 and operated a garage and machine shop in Cascade for 30 years. He served as a state senator from Valley County from 1949 (with the exception of one term in 1953) until he was appointed to the Idaho Public Utilities Commission on May 1, 1964. He served on the Cascade School Board, the City Council and the Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the Lions Club and Ionic Lodge No. 82, of which he was a past master. He moved to Boise in 1964. In February of 1971, he was elected president of the Idaho Public Utilities Commission, where he served until October, 1974. He was a member of the National Association of Regulatory Commissioners and served on the Committee on Administration and Personnel. He also was a member of the Policy Committee of the National Transportation and Study Group for Idaho. At the time of his death, he was president of the Poachers Club. Survivors include his wife, Ruby M. Nock of Boise; to whom he was married on Oct. 31, 1921, at Cascade; three daughters, Mrs. Veldora L. Kimball and Mrs. Winona M. Patrick, both of Boise, and Mrs. Clydie Y. Peterson, Cascade; his mother, Mrs. Loretta Manning, Atascadero, Calif.; a half-brother and half-sister, both in California; 13 grandchildren and 18 great- grandchildren. A son, John L., died Dec. 23, 1964. Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Summers Funeral Home by J. Burns Beal. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Margaret Cemetery, Cascade, by Ionic Lodge No. 82, AF&AM. Memorials are suggested to the Heart Fund. Additional Comments: Harry and Ruby were actually married on 30 Oct. 1921, not the 31st.
