The Statesman of Tuesday morning gives the following account of the Weiser shooting scrape which took place Monday night: Ira Harder and Sam Brundridge met this evening at 10:30 in a saloon. A controversy arose between them, when blows were threatened, but the proprietor of the saloon interfered and for a time no trouble occurred. The men were not habitual frequenters of the house and unknown to the proprietor. Suddenly Harder resumed the attack and immediately shooting began. When the smoke had cleared away Brundridge was found shot through the heart and Harder was mortally wounded, but walked half a mile with a ball through his lungs. It was a desperate duel to the death and an old feud was the cause, though its origin is known only to the participants.
