The democratic primaries will be held on the 22d and the republican on the 24th. Lewis Hall, Jr. had the misfortune to wrench the ankle of his leg that was broken last fall, and is now compelled to travel on crutches. There is a large camp of Indians at the fisheries below town and they are making arrangements to have a war dance some evening this week. A number of Indians are expected from the Pocatello reservation, and on their arrival the festivities will begin. A party from town will attend. The Sommers block is nearing completion. It will be one of the handsomest business blocks in the state. Dr. and Mrs. J. W. Easter have returned from their wedding tour. Bob Sears, one of the pioneers of Weiser, was up from Pocatello a few days ago visiting his parents. A carload of mining machinery is on the switch track for the cyanide plant of Ford brothers on Rapid river. William Riggs has shipped three carloads of horses east. The dance to be given by the Weiser baseball club has been postponed until next Friday evening. Work on the Masonic block is progressing rapidly. The dryer and evaporator will start up next week. The vote on the question of issuing $45,000 bonds for putting in an electric plant and a water works system takes place tomorrow.
