The family of Mr. Chas. Reed residing in Payette valley, near Emmettsville, 
consisted a week ago of a husband, wife and six children.  During the week, 
Mrs. Reed and three of the children died of a malignant type of pneumonia.  Mr. 
Reed and two of the remaining children were, at last accounts, extremely ill 
and not expected to recover.  Of the entire family only the baby, it is 
thought, will escape this fatal attack.
