They were accompanied by six Lardo men who voluntarily went along to break the trail. Seven hundred pounds of provisions were taken to Sim Willey's on the South Fork. The carpenters of Weiser have formed a local union and established the wage scale at $3.50 per day. Nineteen emigrants arrived here from Platteville, Ia., and will buy land in this section. A. A. Moyer has arrived from Texas and moved to the Bray ranch, which he recently bought. Rev. Taylor's lecture on Robert Burns was well attended and greatly appreciated.
