Mrs. R. E. Lockwood gave a reception at her residence Saturday afternoon. The ladies present were: Mesdames Bradley, Rhea, Ryan, Kirgis, Bowes, Lee, Coakley, Foor, Hall, Foster, Stewart, Lowe, Beswick, Fesselman, Cordelle, Woodcock, Shainwald, Sherling, Anderson, Butterfield, McKinney, Luck, Horner, Hixon, Numbers, Haas, Rinehart, Davis, Moyer, Easter, Ellin, Wilson, Jackson, Kurtz, Paynton, Barton, Chase, Maryatt, Ford, Ashman, Paddock, Snow, Vial, Devers; Miss Slocum, Miss McKinney, Mrs. Lockwood served an elegant luncheon to her guests. It was one of the largest reception of the season. A carload of ore was shipped east yesterday from the Seven Devils by the Boston & Seven Devils Mining company. Miss Minnie Bauergelt received a telegram Tuesday stating that her father had died very suddenly at Buffalo, N. Y. W. W. Brizendine, uncle of Manley and Houston Brizendine, accompanied by his family, arrived from Mayfield, Ky., last week. George Coles and family and Jack Webb and family of Mayfield, Ky., arrived in the city last week. They will locate in Weiser.
