Papers were read by the Revs. Taylor, Ashmun, Deal and Delephine, Miss Gleana Keyes and H. P. Lee of Weiser; Rev. Guy Foster and Mrs. Alice Fifer of Council; Rev. Clarence Cook of Cambridge. The guests were hospitably entertained by the people of Indian Valley. Officers for the coming year are: President Festus Foster, Weiser; secretary, W. M. Deal, Weiser; treasurer, Frank H. Phillips, Cambridge; executive committee, H. A. Crowell, Miss Clara Brown, Weiser, Mrs. C. M. Over, Salubria. The Idaho Industrial Institute has twice as many applicants as can be received. This institution allows students to work for their board and tuition, five hours' work daily being usually required. E. W. Burton of Murray, Idaho, has spent the week here and thinks favorably of engaging in the mercantile business in Weiser. The death of President McKinley caused profound sorrow here. The postoffice and places of business are draped in mourning and flags are flying at half mast.
