The end came very peacefully, he apparently suffering no pain whatever. A couple of hours before his death he tried to speak to his family but was unable to do so. From that time on he gradually sank, death overtaking him in a stupor. All of the family, including his brother Andy, were present and surrounded his bed, excepting Mrs. Doug West, who did not arrive until next day. Funeral services were held in the Salubria Baptist church, from which place a large concourse of friends followed the remains to that final resting place from which none return to tell of the mystery which may lie beyond. Frank Adams was born in Cornwall, England, October 13, 1833, and was nearly 68 years old. In 1850 he married Mary Chapman and to them were born five children, two daughters and three sons, all of whom live in this neighborhood. In 1875 he settled in Salubria valley, and during the same year his family joined him. Here he has since lived a quiet, industrious and peaceable life. Frank was always a jolly, good natured fellow, and no one can justly say that he ever intentionally wronged them. He always contended for his rights and was willing to accord others the same privilege. He counted his friends by the scores, and his enemies were few. His life was a practical demonstration of the fact that it was possible for a man to be successful and be honest. In the death of Frank Adams the community has lost one of its best citizens, and the family an affectionate and considerate husband and father. We extend our sympathies to those who sorrow.
